Exploration of colour using Geometric Shapes
September 28th and 29th 2024 a two day course with Jane and Margaret. Using colour is such an important aspect of tapestry weaving. We want you to feel confident using it by introducing a simple overview of colour theory that you will be able to apply to your weaving. We will do many different colour exercises using coloured papers using geometric shapes which will help to facilitate better understanding how colours are formed and work together in a composition. The tutors anticipate that students will weave two to four tapestries during this course which can be used as a starting point for larger scale tapestries. For more information contact Margaret via this website or Jane via hers: http://janebrunningtapestry.co.uk. Tapestry Weaving:

Surgeries: A series of “Weaving Surgeries” for more advanced and confident weavers. The sessions give weavers opportunities to express their creative abilities and to extend their knowledge and technical skills.
